Step-by-Step Instructions for Grinder Grilled Cheese Sandwich
- In a medium bowl, combine softened butter with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Mix until well blended and creamy. Set this aside.
- Spread the buttery mixture on the outside of two slices of crusty bread. Layer cheeses, deli turkey meats, and veggies inside. Close gently.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over low heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet, cooking for about 5-6 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, remaining Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Adjust pepper to taste.
- In the dressing bowl, toss in lettuce, red onion, and banana peppers. Stir until veggies are coated in the dressing.
- Once both sides of the sandwich are crisp, open it and spoon in the salad mixture. Press together and slice in half.
