  • 1 cup Rice white or brown
  • 1 pound Ground Meat beef, chicken, turkey, or plant-based
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning gluten-free if needed
  • 1/4 cup Water
For the Fresh Toppings
  • 2 cups Shredded Lettuce
  • 1 cup Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese cheddar or your choice
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream or Greek Yogurt or guacamole
  • 1/4 cup Sliced Jalapeños
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro chopped
  • 1 medium Avocado sliced

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Cook the Rice: Boil 1 cup of rice in water for 15-20 minutes. Optionally stir in taco seasoning. Fluff and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Meat: In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and brown 1 pound of ground meat for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add Seasoning: Mix in taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water to the meat. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Prepare Toppings: Slice or shred toppings and arrange them in bowls for assembly.
  5. Assemble the Bowl: Start with a scoop of rice, add meat, then toppings. Finish with cheese, sour cream, and jalapeños.
  6. Serve Immediately: Enjoy warm and customize with hot sauce or salsa as desired.
