  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 packet Brown Gravy Mix Can use homemade
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch Optional, for thickening
For the Mashed Potatoes
  • 4 cups Mashed Potatoes Consider adding cream cheese

Cooking Instructions
  1. Season the beef chuck roast liberally with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let it rest while preparing the slow cooker.
  2. Layer the sliced onion evenly at the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the seasoned beef roast on top.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine beef broth, brown gravy mix, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until fully incorporated and pour over the beef.
  4. Cover and set the slow cooker to cook on low for 8 hours.
  5. After cooking, remove the beef and shred it with two forks. If the gravy is too thin, whisk in a cornstarch slurry and return the beef.
  6. Serve the shredded beef over creamy mashed potatoes and ladle gravy on top.
