  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch for crispy coating
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce use tamari for gluten-free
  • 3 tbsp Honey use raw or mild-flavored
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced, fresh preferred
  • 1 tsp Ginger grated, use fresh for best flavor
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili flakes optional, adjust to taste
For the Noodles
  • 8 oz Noodles rice or egg noodles, prepared according to package instructions
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil for frying
For Garnish
  • 2 Green onions chopped
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds optional, for garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the Noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add noodles and cook until al dente, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and drizzle with vegetable oil.
  2. Prepare the Chicken: Toss chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated and set aside.
  3. Sear the Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Sauté Garlic and Ginger: In the same skillet, reduce heat and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 30-60 seconds.
  5. Make the Sauce: Add soy sauce, honey, and chili flakes. Stir and cook until slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Combine Chicken and Sauce: Return chicken to skillet and toss to coat thoroughly in the sauce, heating for an additional minute.
  7. Toss in the Noodles: Add cooked noodles to skillet and mix gently until well coated with sauce. Heat through.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Transfer to a serving platter, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
