  • 2 tablespoons honey maple syrup can be used for vegan
  • 4 cloves minced garlic fresh is best
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger or use ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes omit for a milder dish
For the Chicken
  • 1 pound chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch or use arrowroot powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or any neutral oil
For the Noodles
  • 8 ounces noodles rice or egg noodles
For the Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons green onions chopped
  • sesame seeds optional but recommended

Method
 

Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes.
  2. In a separate bowl, coat the chicken pieces with cornstarch.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the coated chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown.
  5. Pour the sauce over the chicken and simmer until thickened.
  6. Cook the noodles according to package instructions.
  7. Combine the cooked noodles with chicken and sauce in the skillet.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
