- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Beat until smooth.

- Cover and refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour.
