  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning any mixed herbs work as well

For the Creamy Finish
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese can substitute with nutritional yeast
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley any herb can be used for garnish

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a large pot, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add 12 ounces of sliced chicken sausage to the pot and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned.
  3. In the same pot, add 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in 2 cups of broccoli florets and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
  5. Next, add 1 cup of orzo pasta, 4 cups of chicken broth, 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  6. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer, cover the pot, and let it cook for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Remove the pot from heat and stir in ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  8. Serve your Chicken Sausage and Broccoli Orzo hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
