Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the unsalted butter by softening it, or mix with mayonnaise for a unique twist. Grate the cheeses and gather toppings.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Lay four slices butter-side down, spread marinara sauce, layer cheeses and toppings, and press remaining slices on top.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Place sandwiches in the pan, cover with a lid, and cook until golden brown and cheese melts.
  4. Flip sandwiches and grill until both sides are crispy. Allow resting for 2-3 minutes before slicing and serving with marinara sauce for dipping.
