Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, pickle relish, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly until smooth and well blended.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Shape into patties about ¾ inch thick.
  3. In a large skillet, heat butter and vegetable oil over medium heat. Add thinly sliced onions and sauté for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Cook the beef patties in the same skillet for 3-4 minutes per side, topping each with a slice of Swiss cheese.
  5. Butter one side of each slice of bread and toast in another skillet until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Spread secret sauce on the unbuttered side of each slice, layer with a patty and caramelized onions, and top with another slice of bread.
  7. Grill the assembled sandwiches for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  8. Slice in half and serve immediately with extra secret sauce on the side.
