Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the French baguette or Italian sub roll in half lengthwise and place cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  3. Brush the inside of the bread with olive oil.
  4. Layer the salami, ham, and pepperoni on the bottom half of the bread.
  5. Distribute the provolone cheese slices over the meats.
  6. Add shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, red onions, and banana peppers on top.
  7. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  8. Place the top half of the bread over the fillings and press down gently.
  9. Wrap the sandwich tightly in aluminum foil.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
  11. Unwrap and slice into pieces before serving warm.
