Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a stand mixer, combine sweetened condensed milk, peppermint extract, and vanilla extract. Mix on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing until a smooth dough forms that is slightly sticky but holds its shape.
  3. Sprinkle powdered sugar on parchment paper, transfer dough, and knead gently for about 1 minute. Roll dough to ½-inch thickness.
  4. Cut circles using a cookie cutter and chill in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  5. Melt dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  6. Dip each patty in chocolate and return to parchment-lined baking sheet. Optional: sprinkle crushed candy canes on top.
  7. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes until chocolate sets.
