Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the loaf pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy; add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients with buttermilk, then fold in diced apples.
  5. Combine brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted butter for the swirl mixture.
  6. Layer half the batter in the pan, sprinkle with half the swirl mixture, and swirl through.
  7. Top with remaining batter and swirl mixture; bake for 55-65 minutes.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Optional: Drizzle with glaze made from powdered sugar and milk once cooled.
