- In a medium saucepan, combine water, honey or maple syrup, molasses, fresh ginger, and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until thickened. Stir in vanilla extract and cool before straining.
- Optional: Rim your serving glass with gingerbread syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Fill a rocks glass with ice cubes. Pour in vodka and Kahlúa, then add gingerbread syrup. Stir gently to combine.
- Slowly pour heavy cream over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect.
- Dust the top with ground cinnamon or nutmeg and add a mini gingerbread cookie for garnish.
