Step-by-Step Instructions for Garlic Parmesan Cabbage
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add cabbage wedges, flat-side down, and sear for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  2. Reduce heat to medium and add 1 chopped yellow onion. Sauté for about 5 minutes until soft and translucent. Stir in 3 minced garlic cloves and 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning, cooking for an additional minute.
  3. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, scraping up any brown bits from the pan. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Add 1 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and incorporated.
  4. Return the seared cabbage to the skillet, ensuring each wedge is coated with sauce. Cook for an additional 5 minutes on medium heat until tender.
  5. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
