  • 1/2 cup Pecans Finely chopped, can substitute with walnuts or almonds
  • 1/4 cup Grade A Dark Amber Maple Syrup Honey can be used as an alternative

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to broil and adjust the rack to the top position.
  2. Carefully slice each Medjool date lengthwise and remove the pit if necessary to create a pocket.
  3. Generously spoon mascarpone cheese into each opened date.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top of each filled date and drizzle with maple syrup.
  5. Broil the dates in the preheated oven for approximately 3 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then serve warm or at room temperature.
