  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder aluminum-free for best flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Thai Sweet Chili Sauce found in Asian foods aisle
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar or honey, sweetens sauce beautifully
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil provides a rich, nutty flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes adjust for heat level
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Water for thinning sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch to thicken sauce

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  2. Set up your air fryer basket for easy access.
Seasoning Wings
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add chicken wings to the bowl and toss until evenly coated.
Air Frying Wings
  1. Arrange seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  2. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 8 minutes.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine Thai sweet chili sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, and water.
  2. Stir until sugar fully dissolves, then add cornstarch mixed with a little water and simmer until thickened.
Coating Wings
  1. Allow wings to rest for 3-5 minutes, then coat in the thickened sauce.
  2. Optional: Return coated wings to air fryer at 400°F (204°C) for 3 minutes for extra crispiness.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, garnished with chopped cilantro, sesame seeds, or green onions.
