- Peel and boil Yukon Gold potatoes in salted water for 12-15 minutes until fork-tender. Then, mash them while hot.
- Fold in grated Hungarian smoked cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt into the mashed potatoes.
- Allow mixture to cool, then scoop and form into sticks roughly 4-5 inches long.
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs, seasoned with sweet Hungarian and smoked paprika.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry sticks in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Sprinkle cooked sticks with extra paprika and salt. Serve hot with sour cream mixed with fresh dill.
