Method
 

Filling Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked shredded chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream. Mix until well blended and creamy.
  2. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  3. Lay a tortilla flat and spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the chicken filling onto the lower third of the tortilla.
  4. Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling, tucking in the sides. Place seam-side down on a tray.
  5. In a skillet, heat about one inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  6. Carefully place the taquitos seam-side down in the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve warm with optional toppings.
