Preparation
- Combine 2 tablespoons of raw cacao powder, 1 teaspoon of turmeric, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of black cumin seeds, and a pinch of black pepper in a medium bowl. Whisk together until blended.
- In a saucepan, heat 2 cups of coconut cream or plant-based milk over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes until warm.
- Whisk the prepared spice mix into the heated milk for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
- If desired, stir in cayenne pepper to taste and sweetener until fully dissolved.
- Serve the warm cocoa in mugs, stirring gently to keep spices suspended.
