For the Chicken
  • 1 pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs Substitute with chicken breasts for a leaner option.
For the Marinade
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt Can be replaced with sour cream or coconut yogurt.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Lemon Juice Fresh juice is best.
  • 4 cloves Fresh Garlic Use garlic powder as a substitute at 1/4 teaspoon per clove.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • Salt and Black Pepper To taste.
For the Creamy Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Use plain mayo.
  • 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt Combines with mayonnaise for creaminess.
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • Salt and Pepper To taste.
For Serving
  • 4 pieces Pita Bread Substitutes include flatbreads or tortillas.
  • 1 cup Fresh Vegetables Cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions for crunch.

Preparation Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, olive oil, and lemon juice. Add minced garlic, spices, salt and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  2. Add sliced chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and juices run clear.
  5. Warm pita bread in a dry skillet over low heat for 1-2 minutes each side.
  6. Spread creamy garlic sauce on warmed pita, add chicken, and top with fresh vegetables.
  7. Roll pita snugly around fillings and serve immediately.
