Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add penne pasta and cook until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and reserve a cup of cooking water.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté for about 3 minutes until translucent.
  3. Make the Sauce: Add softened cream cheese and ranch seasoning to the skillet. Stir for 2-3 minutes. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, mixing until thickened, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add shredded chicken, half the bacon, and half the cheese to the sauce. Mix until melted and well-combined.
  5. Toss with the Pasta: Add cooked penne to the skillet, tossing to coat. Stir in reserved pasta water a little at a time if necessary.
  6. Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with remaining bacon and parsley, and serve warm.
