Preparation Steps

  4. Crack in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until frothy.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and baking powder.
  6. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared dish and smooth out the top.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  10. Let cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
