  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese preferably Parmigiano-Reggiano

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, and pepper. Add melted butter and mix until smooth.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Flatten each triangle slightly.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling at the wide end of each triangle, fold, and seal tightly.
  5. Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the pillows. Optional: sprinkle panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  7. For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then add milk and cream, whisking until thickened (5-7 mins).
  8. Stir in Parmesan cheese and season. Simmer 2-3 minutes until melted and creamy.
  9. Drizzle the sauce over baked Chicken Pillows and serve warm.
