  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Ensure softened for easier blending.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Can swap with pepper jack.
  • 1/2 cup Salsa Choose your favorite kind.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can be used if preferred.
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Fresh onions can replace it.
  • 1 tsp Cumin Omit for a milder flavor.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Adjust for personal preference.
Taquitos
  • 8 Tortillas (Flour or Corn) Flour tortillas are easier to roll.
  • as needed Cooking Spray or Olive Oil Brush tops for crispiness during baking.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked chicken, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, salsa, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  3. Take a tortilla, scoop 2-3 tablespoons of filling in the center, roll tightly, and place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  4. Brush the tops with olive oil or cooking spray. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm with sour cream, guacamole, or salsa for dipping.
